Churning the Oceans of Milk

In Hindu mythology it is the story
of the Devas (the Gods) obtaining
the ultimate prize of immortality by consuming
Amrit, the elixir of immortality.

In the year 2020 there was Love
raining all over me… the churning of the
ocean of milk was a momentous learning event
during a time when staying away from each other
was becoming a new normal. He had found me already
… this was a new year and we hid away inside
mysterious and deep connections …

Filled up with talking spirits of my wildest
and most beautiful feelings of being cherished
and sought after… He said the same.
I am incredibly grateful to have felt the
Oceans of Churning Milk.

BECOMING

Forest Avenue Promenade - Becoming Contest Rules

Our Laguna Art Festivals did not open this year for reasons beyond comprehension.  Fortunately,  Laguna Beach Cultural Arts is helping the artists show here on the Promenade throughout this dark time of no exhibition space through a grant program called “Fostering Creativity in a Time of Crisis.”

This is part of my new works for 2020.  It is about the brokenness we are experiencing that came out of nowhere.  Kintsugi is the Japanese art of mending pieces back together with gold - built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, we can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art revealing how to heal.

In other words ‘we will emerge better with our golden cracks or Joinery’.  A great inspiration to “BECOMING” better.

Thank you to the City of Laguna Beach, especially Wayne Peterson who donated to an artist’s fund before he passed on.  He so loved Laguna!  We all Love Laguna!! See you all on the Promenade - Open ’til January 2021

BECOMING

Our sacred Art Festivals did not open this year for reasons beyond comprehension. Fortunately, Laguna Beach Cultural Arts is helping the artists show here on the Promenade throughout this dark time of no exhibition space through a grant program called “Fostering Creativity in a Time of Crisis.”

This is part of my new works for 2020 and it is about the brokenness we are experiencing that came out of nowhere. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold - built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art and it reveals how to heal and shows you that you are better with your golden cracks’ what a concept to hold for today. Also called ‘Golden Repair’ or ‘Joinery’ which creates something better than before it was broken. Once the mending is enhanced with gold there is great inspiration to become better than we ever were as we morph into more beautiful creatures experiencing an extraordinary journey to brighten the future for our children and the hope of working together.

Thank you to all the City and especially Wayne Peterson who donated to an artist’s fund before he passed on. He so loved Laguna! We all Love Laguna!!
